What is Nervous?

Shadow of a person walking in the dark with a slight glow around the shadow

It certainly impairs us so we need to manage it. We manage it by deciding not to think it into existence; we don’t give it any power.

But it seems to happen on its own. In the middle of doing something, doubt creeps in and suddenly, we’re nervous. We think it happens on its own but it doesn’t.

We think it happens on its own but it doesn’t. We chose to think doubtful and debilitating thoughts? Why?

Sometimes nervousness is a safety net—an excuse if we fail. Maybe we do want an excuse so maybe we do want to be nervous.

Sometimes nervousness is a mental habit. There may be a buried belief that when we speak, we get nervous. So when we speak, the sensor goes off and automatically triggers the fear and self-fulfills the prophecy.

Is nervousness an unintentional prescription to fail?
