What Fuels Our Battery?

Illustrated battery that is 3/4 full

Good interaction with people—that’s what fuels our battery.

We interact with people all day long and that impacts our battery—plus or minus. To start, we can work at having more people in our lives who add to our batteries than drain them. You may have to wean some toxic people out of your life.

When we give off positive energy, other people reciprocate our positivity, which adds to our battery.

If you wanted to, you could say all kinds of things to DRAIN another person’s battery. It would be UNKIND but you could absolutely do it, right? Conversely, you could say all kinds of things to CHARGE other people’s batteries. It would be KIND and you could absolutely do it, right?

We can find a thousand little ways to add to someone’s day (or life) that would lift that person up. In doing so, we make that person’s battery a little greener. And they get to take that extra green home. If lots of people did this, what might be the impact? We’d work in a battery-charging environment. And that might foster all kinds of unforeseen thriving?
