What are we doing when we judge? We’re labeling things, putting them in their place and creating meaning. Deciding the value of something makes us think we have power over it.
Continually judging becomes a forgotten and unproductive habit. We view things more from a distance than immersed in them. We can use judging as a protective barrier but it requires a lot of energy.
Replace judge with observe. It takes us out of the mind and we collide with the present. Notice everything you can about something. What is its energy and value? How does it behave? How does it make me feel? This causes us to be right here and now—close not distant.
Observing—not judging—frees up the mind’s deeper intuitive layers, explodes creativity and can create for us everything we want.
