Breeding Nervousness

Don't condemn yourself for being nervous

When we get self-conscious, we turn a mirror on ourselves and judge everything we do very critically.

When this happens, we start living in our heads, second-guessing every thought. And it becomes an endless loop.

We get inside a bubble and look out at the world through this lens of nervousness. The more we think we’re nervous, the more we make ourselves nervous.

We may think we’re just describing how we feel but what we’re really doing is prescribing more nervousness.

We say we can’t help being nervous but we are the one who is thinking we’re nervous, so we CAN help it.
